Sean Davis, 21, of Houston, was nabbed Wednesday by members of the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics and Organized squad after receiving info from the U.S. Marshals that he would be in town and was wanted on a fugitive warrant, said Capt. Richard Conklin.

Davis, who was wanted for aggravated robbery in Texas, was in town to find out if he was the father of a child during a segment of the "Maury" show called "Who's the Daddy," at the Rich Forum Theater, Conklin said.

Conklin said that members of the squad found Davis on Banks Street in an office of the show before he ever got a chance to appear.

“Mr. Davis was arrested without incident, but he was very disappointed he was not able to find out if he was the daddy,” Conkin said.

Davis said he had taken a paternity test to find out if he was the baby's father.

"It's probably not a good idea to appear on TV if you are a wanted fugitive," Conklin added.

Davis is being held on $500,000 bond on being a fugitive from custody.
